Club Officials

Professor Sir John Savill

Father to 2 of our playing legends  and husband of Barbara - one of the most well-known personalities in local club cricket for many years - "The Prof" has been one of the Club's greatest supporters over recent years. Unfortunately, as the family have moved away, we don't see him around the boundary as often as we would like.

Chris Young

Chris was heavily involved in the junior section as coach/manager and latterly CWO for about 15 years. A classic example of the old idiom "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach"; both his sons play to a level he could only dream of.

Zueb Shamsi

Zueb was a junior coach/manager for many years. Now a keen supporter of the club and controller of the purse strings.

Rob Kirkwood

Rob has been the pivotal figure in the transformation of the junior section over the past 15+ years. After stepping down from running the junior section, he took over as secretary and continues to be instrumental in the development of the club. He is also actively involved in the management of of the NYCL and NCB.

Joe Fish

Club Captain

Joe is a true club man. He has played for all the teams from Kwik Cricket up and is the primary link between the administrative and playing sides of the club. A true all-rounder, he might be the mainstay of the batting in the 2nds one week and 1st change bowler for the 1sts the following week,
